Review your practice in the teaching of writing
As STA accredited moderators for writing, Judy and Jonathon have extensive experience of assessing work against national standards and of identifying next steps to promote writing improvement.
Literacy First can support you in reviewing writing practice across your school by sampling writing across year groups, pinpointing areas for development in teaching and learning, and providing bespoke training that will improve writing outcomes.
Support Package 1:
- Full day’s book scrutiny/ writing sampling across all year groups with written report identifying strengths and next steps to success
- Two twilight sessions (3.30-5.30pm) of bespoke training with specific tasks for action in the classroom.
- Half a day follow-up support with English Subject Leader to assess impact.
Total cost= £1500.00
Support Package 2:
- Full day’s book scrutiny/ writing sampling (as above) Points for action identified.
- Follow up day with English Subject Leader to assess impact.
Total cost= £900.00
Support Package 3:
- Half a day with English Subject Leader to identify concerns
- Follow up bespoke training ( INSET or twilight sessions as requested)
Total cost = from £600.00 (depending on type of follow -up training requested)
